About

I'm Dwayne Lessner. I do technical marketing at Nutanix, where I've spent over a decade — long enough to remember when hyperconverged infrastructure was something you had to argue for. These days my work centers on Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud: the architectures, the networking, the disaster-recovery economics, and increasingly the Kubernetes and AI platforms that run on top.

Before Nutanix I ran infrastructure on the customer side at Husky Energy in Calgary — which is why my writing leans toward what actually happens when you operate this stuff, not just what the datasheet says. I'm based in the middle of nowhere in Alberta, Canada.

What you'll find here: reference architectures, traffic-flow deep dives, cost models with real numbers, and shorter notes between the long pieces. Articles land here first; LinkedIn is where the discussion happens. Follow along by RSS or on LinkedIn.
